Patreon is like an ongoing Kickstarter campaign, where you can pledge a monthly amount—that you specify—in support of what’s being created. From a Buddhist perspective, Patreon offers an opportunity for a form of digital dana.
Dana is the practice of generosity and a way to support philanthropic public projects that empower and help many. Our Community Library is that kind of project. It’s at the core of our expanding, international online community. We’re constantly creating things for the library—including podcasts, videos, transcripts, and booklets from my dharma talks—and it’s all available for free.
That’s why I need you.
It’s as simple as this: everything I do—along with a small support team—takes a resource. The more resources we have to support our work the more resources we can offer for free to anyone in the world.
